My New Find...

I wandered off the beaten path and found myself at Four Flags Antique Store in Niles, Michigan.  I found this cute twig bench and I just had to have it...

The white picket fence behind it was another find that same day...

I also picked up this cute watering can...

We have been working very hard on creating an area for our new finds...

It's almost complete and I'll post pictures later this week..

Droplets...

This was an amazing sight...After the rain I went to the garden to snap a few pictures and this is what I saw...

Weekend in Indiana~

I spent the weekend at my Mother-in-Law's house...her garden is absolutely amazing.  I love to go there, to see her of course but I also love sitting in her garden.  I thought I would share some pictures with you.

I find it amazing that she can grow cacti in Indiana....

This is some sort of evergreen she shaped into a Cactus...lol

Beautiful Evening~

It's been rainy and much cooler the past week.  Today started off that way but then it turned around and it became so pretty the sun was smiling and this evening was wonderful!

I toadily have a new garden guest

I have seen this guy around my yard every evening around 8-ish

I told my husband Todd that I wanted to get a toad house since I read this guy can eat up to 1000 bugs per day!  And if you know me you know I am a squeemish girl who cannot tolerate pests...but bugs are the worst...and this lil guy well, he's kind cute...in a toad way.

Oh my goodness this is too funny... the look in this guys face just cracks me up.  I sure hope we didn't scare him away.  (of course Todd had to change the toad to todd) lol

I know this seems silly but I just had to get a picture of him in his house..lol

Aww, I hope he comes back...

My New Plant Stand~

My mom gave me this plant stand just because she loves me (smile)...And boy do I love it...Still a work in progress but I love the way it's coming along thus far...

I LOVE my double Petunia's....

And this white candle holder was my thrift store buy for 50 cents,

I knew I would find the perfect spot for it!

I hope to fill up some of the empty vases over this weekend...

A nice surprise...

My new job is wonderful but very busy.  I am adjusting to my new hours

and being in and out of meetings all day long. 

It was so nice when I got home today to see this beautiful bouquet of flowers awaiting for me...thanks to my wonderful husband...

Lillies are so pretty and symbolize peace, purity and innocence..

Now that is an amazingly beautiful flower...

Sunset Bike Ride~

My backyard backs up to a bike path that runs along the river... 

I love to take sunset bike rides...

Just like the lilac trees, I wish they lasted longer. 

But since they do not, I must enjoy as much as I can now.

My Thrift Store Find~

At the hospital I work at there is a Thrift Store on site...How lucky can I be!!!!  So, I made my way over there on break...

And I found this cute lil pitcher for $2.00

And this candle holder for $0.50!!

I'm not sure what I am going to do with the candle holder yet but I have a

feeling I'll find just the right thing~

I am so excited that whenever I get the itch to thrift I can just go outside my office!  YAY!!!
